Stars, Including Catherine Zeta-Jones and Ben Stiller, Wait as Donald Trump Enters U.S Open
Stars accustomed to VIP treatment found themselves in long lines at Arthur Ashe Stadium, as Donald Trump’s arrival at the U.S. Open men’s final tightened security and slowed access for everyone in attendance.
Donald Trump's arrival at the U.S. Open men’s singles final on Sunday disrupted access for fans and celebrities alike. Heightened security at Arthur Ashe Stadium slowed traffic and limited entry, leaving attendees outside for long stretches. Catherine Zeta-Jones, her husband veteran actor, Michael Douglas, and Ben Stiller were among those seen waiting to get inside.

Debra Messing remained stuck in a car for nearly an hour, while Lindsay Lohan was spotted walking through parking lots. Despite the delays, Stiller and other stars, including Mindy Kaling, Bruce Springsteen, B.J. Novak, and Sting, eventually made it to their seats in time to watch Jannik Sinner face Carlos Alcaraz.
Trump's appearance marked his first at the tournament since 2015, when he attended with Melania Trump and was met with boos from the crowd.
The unusual scene drew quick reactions online. "Inconvenience to celebs? Now there is news to make you smile," one commenter wrote. Another added, "Maybe that's why they booed him." A third remarked, "Celebrities being treated like us commoners?"
