Jordyn Woods Defends Jaden Smith over Bridal Party Controversy
The friendship between Woods and Smith stretches back decades, long before any wedding bells rang. Now the reality star turned entrepreneur is setting the record straight about her best friend's rightful place on her big day.
Jordyn Woods has taken to social media to defend her longtime close friend Jaden Smith, after critics questioned why the rapper was "with all of the girls" at her star-studded wedding to Karl-Anthony Towns.

The media personality posted on TikTok on Saturday, August 29, sharing a collage of memories she and the "Karate Kid" star have built together from early childhood to the present day.
"'Why is Jaden with all of the girls?'" she captioned the opening image, which showed Smith posing alongside Woods and her bridesmaids. She continued across the following slides, "'And at the bridal shower? And helping Karl with his shoes?'"

The carousel then shifted to a string of childhood photos of the pair. Above the first, which showed the two as toddlers sharing a double-carrier stroller, Woods wrote, "Because he's never missed an important moment in my life."
In the caption, the former reality star said she was "so grateful to have the epitome of a day ONE."
"From diapers to marriage. I can't wait for his wedding one day but until then 🤣!!!" she wrote. "He's never missed a birthday, showing up at my dads funeral and making us all laugh, to now getting married. I'm so lucky I've never had to know a life without our friendship."
Although Smith, 28, wasn't officially part of Woods' bridal party, he still posed with the bridesmaids and the bride at the wedding and made an appearance at the bridal shower. He also played a key role behind the scenes of Woods' lavish celebration with Towns.
Smith, who serves as the first-ever men's creative director for Maison Christian Louboutin, revealed that he personally designed a custom pair of size 20 Louboutin shoes for the New York Knicks star to wear on his wedding day.
"My Best Friend Got Married And I Made Karl Size 20 Red Bottoms," he wrote on Instagram, sharing a series of photos from the celebration. He added, "Jordyn I Love You So Much Congratulations Karl I Love You Bro Keep The Swag On High."
Woods and Smith's friendship dates back to their earliest years. Jordyn's late father, John Woods, worked in television and had ties to Jaden's famous dad, Will Smith, which is how the two families first connected.
Woods and Towns tied the knot in a striking black-and-white themed ceremony held during a star-studded black-tie affair in Malibu, California, on Saturday, August 14, 2026. The picturesque outdoor venue overlooked the Pacific Ocean and was decorated throughout with white floral arrangements.
The guest list read like a who's who of Hollywood and beyond, with Kylie Jenner, Timothée Chalamet, Justin Bieber, Hailey Bieber, Jada Pinkett Smith, Teyana Taylor, Gayle King, Michael B. Jordan, and Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor among those in attendance.
Several of Towns' Knicks teammates also showed up to celebrate, including OG Anunoby, Jalen Brunson, and Josh Hart.
Towns and Woods first began dating in 2020, though their connection goes back much further than that. The pair announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post on Christmas Day last year, sharing photos from the proposal at Overstory, a rooftop bar in New York City, where Towns got down on one knee.
