Millie Bobby Brown Welcomes Second Child with Husband Jake Bongiovi

The actress and her husband are now a family of four, growing their household for the second time in just over a year. News of the adoption came weeks after fans spotted subtle clues in one of Brown's social media posts.

Millie Bobby Brown's family is growing. Just over a year after she and husband Jake Bongiovi welcomed their baby girl, the couple are now parents of two following the arrival of their second child through adoption.

A source confirmed the news to People on Thursday, September 17, just under two weeks after Brown, 22, appeared to hint at her expanding family in an Instagram carousel posted on September 7.

The sequence opened with a clip of Brown walking along a bridge with her daughter on her hip.

Bongiovi, 24, walked beside her with a baby carrier strapped to his chest. The couple's newest addition remained out of view as the pair strolled alongside alpacas in Italy's Dolomites mountain range.

Shortly after the news broke, Brown shared the first glimpse of her youngest child while also revealing the baby's gender. "Hi little guy!" she wrote, alongside a heartwarming family photo featuring her and Bongiovi's daughter and their newborn son.

In the image, Brown's red-manicured hand was accessorized with a gold ring encrusted with the word "MOM." Nearly one year earlier, the actress had announced that she and Bongiovi welcomed their first daughter together.

"This summer we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy," she wrote in an Instagram post shared in August 2025. "And then there were 3."

Earlier this year, the "Stranger Things" alum opened up about exploring other paths to growing her family. Though she welcomed her daughter through adoption, Brown shared her hopes about one day having a child through pregnancy as well.

"Hopefully one day that's in my future," Brown told host Kylie Kelce during the June 11 episode of the "Not Gonna Lie" podcast. "But for me, adoption was always a part of my future. Adoption is love. Adoption is forever."

Brown has previously revealed that adopting has been a dream of hers since childhood. The "Enola Holmes" star also noted that she gained deeper insight into the process while studying to become a social worker.

"The aspect of adoption in my social work courses was everything and so, so meaningful and important," she shared.

"Then I also learned speaking to and reading a lot about being a birth mother and what that journey is. So for me, my husband and I took a lot of time to focus on what that story and what that journey looks like and then we embarked it."

The path wasn't without its difficulties. Brown explained that "waiting for the call" was the hardest part of the process, largely because there's little way to prepare for it. Even so, she hoped to reassure others on a similar path to stay grounded and patient.

She also offered this advice: "I just would always just encourage you to understand every journey is different. Don't compare yourself to statistics and don't compare yourself to other families. And your baby's out there and you'll find each other."

With their family now complete at four, Brown and Bongiovi appear to be settling into this new phase with the same openness and gratitude they've shown throughout their adoption journey — one they've made clear was built on intention, patience, and love.
