Norman Reedus and Helena Christensen's Son Arrested, Charged in Alleged Assault
The former couple's only child was slapped with additional charges following his recent apprehension. This isn't the first time he has faced trouble with the law.
Actor Norman Reedus and Danish fashion model Helena Christensen's son, Mingus Reedus, was reportedly arrested on August 23, 2025, in New York City for alleged assault on his lover.
The New York Police Department (NYPD) revealed that the 25-year-old model has been charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and assault following the incident.
Upon arrival at the scene, the authorities discovered a 33-year-old woman who suffered minor injuries to her neck and leg. "EMS responded and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition," the police added. Meanwhile, Mingus was taken into custody.
Amid the investigation, reports revealed that Mingus is now facing additional charges. According to prosecutors, he strangled his girlfriend with such force that he lifted her off the ground during the alleged incident at their apartment.
As a result, he was arraigned on new charges in Manhattan Criminal Court on Saturday night following his arrest earlier that day. Mingus was additionally hit with counts of reckless physical injury, second-degree harassment, and aggravated harassment.
This isn't the first time Mingus has had a run-in with the law. He was previously arrested for allegedly assaulting a 24-year-old woman in September 2021 at the San Gennaro festival in NYC. He accepted a plea deal for disorderly conduct in March 2022.
