The incident took place around 12:30 a.m. local time on Friday, April 17, 2026, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Barbara Palvin Reported Possible Break-In
Palvin, 32, called 911 to report a possible burglary in progress. During the call, she described the individual as a “creepy guy,” the outlet reported.
At the time, the unidentified man had made it onto the property but had not entered the couple’s home, which is a 1920s Spanish-style residence.

Sprouse Restrained the Suspect
As Palvin remained on the phone with emergency services, Sprouse, 33, confronted the man outside. Sources told the Los Angeles Times that he tackled the suspect and held him down at gunpoint while waiting for officers to arrive.
Police responded to the scene and took the man into custody without incident. No injuries were reported.
Authorities later determined the individual had outstanding warrants. Despite the situation, Sprouse and Palvin reportedly did not want the suspect to be booked for trespassing.

Arrest Captured on Video
Footage obtained by TMZ shows the suspect being handcuffed near a police vehicle outside the home’s fence. A “Private Property, No Trespassing” sign is visible on the property.
Representatives for Sprouse and Palvin did not immediately respond to requests for comment on April 18, 2026.
