She posted a photo of Evan assembling furniture inside his dorm on her Instagram Stories. "Dropped off Evan at college today," Lauren wrote over the image. "18 years of early mornings, late night snacks, and family dinners … and then there he was building his own dorm cabinet."
"A small thing, but in that moment I saw the start of his next chapter. Proud, Heartbroken, Grateful," she added. Befittingly, the 55-year-old set the post to David Bowie's 1971 hit "Changes."

Lauren shares Evan with her former spouse, Hollywood agent and businessman Patrick Whitesell. The pair tied the knot in August 2005 and welcomed Evan in June 2006. Two years later, they had a daughter, Ella Whitesell, in 2008. They divorced in 2019.
Lauren also has an older son, 24-year-old Nikko Gonzalez, from a previous relationship with former NFL player Tony Gonzalez. In addition to her own children, she also became a stepmother to her current husband Jeff Bezos' own kids.
The billionaire Amazon founder shares four children with his ex-wife, MacKenzie Scott. Jeff has staunchly guarded his children's privacy. The only detail he has disclosed is the name of his eldest son, Preston, who was born in 2000. As for his younger children, little is known about them.
