Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Share Unexpected Wedding Singer Connection with Prince William and Kate Middleton
A royal-worthy coincidence marked Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's wedding, as the couple chose the same iconic singer who performed at Prince William and Kate Middleton's nuptials.
Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's wedding had one similarity with that of Prince William and Kate Middleton. Both occasions had Ellie Goulding perform the same song, creating an unexpected connection between the billionaire couple and British royalty.
According to People magazine, Goulding sang at Bezos and Sánchez's wedding reception on June 27, 2025 on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, Italy. Among the songs she performed was her well-known cover of Elton John's "Your Song," the same piece she sang at the Prince and Princess of Wales' evening reception on April 29, 2011.

At the royal celebration, William and Kate famously shared their first dance to Goulding's rendition of the 1971 classic, creating a now-iconic wedding moment. Over a decade later, Goulding reprised the song for another high-profile couple, adding a touch of royal nostalgia to the Bezos-Sánchez festivities.

Although Bezos and Sánchez didn't choose "Your Song" for their first dance, Matteo Bocelli, son of renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli, performed a cover of Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love" as the couple's official first dance song.
