'Duck Dynasty' Star Jessica Robertson Announces Daughter's Pregnancy, Drawing Mixed Reactions: 'You're Shaming Her'

The television personality shares five children with her longtime husband, and her recent announcement about a new addition to the family left people divided.

"Duck Dynasty" star Jessica Robertson took to Instagram on July 20, 2025, and announced that her youngest daughter, Priscilla Robertson, is expecting her first child.

"Me & Jep are excited to welcome another new grandbaby in October. Priscilla will give birth to our granddaughter & we are blessed to add another grandbaby," she penned alongside images of the 19-year-old mom-to-be cradling her baby bump. Jessica added:

"This isn't the plans we had laid out for Priscilla, but God takes our meager offerings and turns them into His greatest blessings!"

She mentioned the family is elated that Priscilla and her partner, Dillon, who aren't married, chose to keep their unborn child. The TV star's Instagram followers quickly reacted to the news in the comments section.

"Non-believers won't get it; they can't. Perfect way to announce it with both TRUTH & GRACE. 💕 it's celebrating life while NOT celebrating sin," wrote one person. However, another argued, "@cheltel10, as a firm believer in Christ, this backhanded compliment wasn't necessary at all. It could have been done in private."

Someone else echoed, "this was such a weird way to say it….. it screams you're shaming her [sic]." "Jessica is NOT shaming her daughter. [...] You can see that she is celebrating life while also acknowledging that it is outside of marriage. That's not shaming at all," another chimed in.

Jessica herself became a mother a year after getting married at 20. She and her spouse, Jep Robertson, welcomed five kids together after tying the knot in October 2001.
