Meghan Markle Shares Never Before Seen Photos of Daughter Lilibet in Sweet Birthday Tribute

The Duchess of Sussex marked daughter Lilibet's fifth birthday with a touching Instagram tribute, sharing rare family photos — including a candid moment with Prince Harry.

Meghan Markle rang in a sweet family milestone this week, taking to Instagram to honor her daughter Lilibet Diana on her fifth birthday, June 4.

The heartfelt post featured never-before-seen photos that offered a rare, candid window into the Sussexes' home life. The first image captured a touching, family moment.

Prince Harry holds Lilibet in his arms as she reaches up to touch his face, with Meghan leaning in close — all three of them caught mid-laugh. Harry is dressed in a navy shirt and dark jeans, while Meghan wears an olive green co-ord set cinched with a tan belt.

The second photo shifts to a quieter, more intimate scene: Lilibet wanders alone in a sun-dappled garden, barefoot in a delicate cream floral dress, stretching toward a cluster of purple blooms along a garden path.

"Our dream girl," Meghan captioned the post. "Happy 5th birthday, Lili 🤍."

The birthday tribute came just a month after the Sussexes celebrated another family milestone — the seventh birthday of their eldest child, Archie. For that occasion, Meghan again gave fans another glimpse behind the curtain with a set of unseen images.

The first was a tender polaroid-style print of Harry cradling a newborn Archie against his chest, gazing down at his son with unmistakeable tenderness.

The second offered a striking contrast: a recent shot of Lilibet and Archie standing side by side at a shoreline, backs to the camera, silhouetted against a sweeping mountain landscape beneath a cloudless blue sky.

Archie holds a long stick at his side as his little sister stands close. "7 years later…happy birthday to our sweet boy 🤍," Meghan wrote.

Shortly after Archie's birthday, the family marked the occasion in style. Harry and Meghan, joined by her mother Doria Ragland, took both children to Disneyland. Meghan shared snapshots from the outing, among them sweet photos of Lilibet meeting actors dressed as Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella.

"They were celebrating the kids' birthdays together," a source said at the time. "The kids did lots of rides, and it was a special way to extend Mother's Day for Meghan and her mom."

Lilibet has also made a brief appearance in a promotional shoot for Meghan's "As Ever" lifestyle brand, seen helping her mother on set.

While glimpses of the children remain relatively rare — and their faces are typically kept out of frame on social media — it's clear that Meghan has embraced motherhood wholeheartedly.

"When your children get to a certain age — when you're not just playing in the sandbox with them but almost playing in your own sandbox again — it's super joyful," she said in a March 2025 interview.

"As a woman, a mom and a wife, to be able to find yourself again — in a way that was always present but that you maybe couldn't put as much attention on as you now can when your kids are a little bit older — is a wonderful feeling."
