Woman Found Deceased on d4vd’s Tesla Identified as Celete Rivas, Missing Teen from Lake Elsinore
The body of a missing Lake Elsinore teenager has been found in a Tesla registered to musician David Anthony Burke, known as d4vd. The discovery has prompted a homicide investigation that now stretches from the streets of Los Angeles to a Hollywood Hills residence tied to the rising artist.
Authorities in Los Angeles are investigating after the remains of a teenage girl were discovered in the trunk of a Tesla registered to singer David Anthony Burke, professionally known as d4vd.
Law enforcement sources told ABC News that a home in the Hollywood Hills, where Burke had been staying though does not own, was searched overnight under a warrant. Detectives were observed removing a computer and several other items from the residence.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the search warrant was served in connection with the teen's death. "Several items of evidence were recovered and will be analyzed by detectives in the coming days," LAPD said in a statement. "This is an ongoing investigation. Investigators are following up on several leads."
On Wednesday, the Los Angeles County medical examiner's office identified the body found in the trunk of the Tesla as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, a missing teen from Lake Elsinore. She had been reported missing the previous year, according to investigators.
The discovery was made on September 8, 2025, two days after the Tesla had been towed from a street in Los Angeles, law enforcement sources said.
While d4vd is currently touring across North America and Europe in support of his debut album "Withered," he has not spoken directly about the investigation.
However, it is said that he has been informed of the situation and is fully cooperating with the authorities.
Burke, aka d4vd, first gained attention by writing original music for his Fortnite montage videos on YouTube, then found viral success on TikTok.
His earlier tracks include "Romantic Homicide" and "Here With Me." Even as his music reached global audiences, he maintained connections to gaming culture.
Just days before Rivas' body was discovered in his car, Fortnite announced Burke had composed its first official anthem, a track titled "Locked & Loaded."
