Police in Los Angeles arrested a woman after multiple gunshots were fired toward Rihanna’s Beverly Hills home while the singer was inside. Authorities say several rounds were discharged from a vehicle across the street, prompting an immediate response from officers.

A woman has been taken into custody after allegedly firing several gunshots at Rihanna’s residence in Beverly Hills, California. According to authorities, the alarming incident took place on Sunday afternoon and triggered a rapid response from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A representative for the LAPD told PEOPLE that officers were called to the property at approximately 1:15 p.m. local time on Sunday, March 8, 2026, after receiving a report of “shots fired” at the residence.

Police located a suspect shortly after arriving at the scene. The individual was taken into custody without incident, and officers recovered a weapon during the arrest.

Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported during the incident. The investigation, however, remains ongoing.

Rihanna Was Inside the Home During the Incident

A source confirmed to PEOPLE that Rihanna was inside the residence at the time the gunfire occurred. The 38-year-old singer shares the home with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, and their three children: RZA, Riot, and Rocki.

It remains unclear whether other family members were present in the home when the shots were fired. The source told PEOPLE that Rihanna is “okay” following the frightening event.

Suspect Allegedly Fired From a Vehicle

Police Sgt. Jonathan de Vera, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department, told the Los Angeles Times that investigators believe the suspect fired multiple rounds from inside a vehicle aimed toward the singer’s home.

Radio dispatch audio obtained by the outlet suggests that officers responding to the scene were informed that “approximately 10 shots” had been fired at the property.

According to the dispatch communication, the shots were allegedly fired from a white Tesla parked across the street from the home. After the gunfire, the vehicle reportedly fled the area, traveling south along Coldwater Canyon Drive.

Authorities have not publicly released additional details about the suspect or possible motives behind the incident.

The LAPD Robbery Homicide Division has taken over the investigation as detectives work to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
