Meghan Markle Opens Up About Her Critics in Honest Interview
In her latest interview, Meghan Markle stripped away the headlines and speculation, offering a candid reminder that behind the titles and scrutiny, she is — above all — human.
Meghan Markle appeared on "The Circuit" with Emily Chang in an interview released on August 26, 2025, coinciding with the premiere of her Netflix series, "With Love, Meghan."

During the conversation, the Duchess of Sussex, 44, was asked to share one thing she wishes people would truly understand about her. She responded, "I think when I sit with it for a second here, I just want people to know that I'm a real person."
Given the intense media scrutiny surrounding her and her family, Meghan admitted that such a simple truth often feels out of reach.

"I think a lot of that gets lost in what can be super dehumanizing," she continued. "When you look at the clickbait culture and how much is written about someone, it's like, no, my friends have to read those things," she explained.
Despite the noise, Meghan emphasized that her life contains the same touchstones as anyone else's. She has had the same best friend since she was 17, enjoys school drop-offs and pick-ups as a mom, and values the ordinary rhythms of daily life. Still, she noted, those moments are often overshadowed by the circumstances of her public role.
"And so I have to make a choice to move through the world as myself in spite of all the noise that's created. But maybe there would be less noise if people remembered that I'm a real person," she said.
"You're a real person," Chang affirmed.
"Pinch me. I'm real. She's real. She's a real person," the Duchess of Sussex concluded with a smile.
