Prosthetic faces, giant worm suits, and motorized E.T. heads don’t end up in the trash. The queen of Halloween reveals how she preserves more than 25 years of over-the-top looks, plus a full rundown of every costume she’s worn.
No one does Halloween better than Heidi Klum, who has been known to turn up with the most creative ideas for costumes. For 25 years, the supermodel has hosted her annual Halloween parties, dubbed Heidiween, and stood out for spooking her guests with her elaborate looks. And as it turns out, none of these costumes, which take hours to create, go to waste.

“I still have all of my costumes,” the supermodel told People at her 25th annual Halloween party in New York City in 2026. “I was seeing something the other day where people were like, ‘Oh, they all go into the garbage.’ But they don’t.”
According to Klum, while her facial prosthetics often get destroyed after use, she has replicas of them to keep along with the rest of the costume. “They all get stored, and they’re all in a box in storage,” she said.
Since 2000, Klum has hosted her famous Halloween parties, skipping 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic and filming short horror movies at home instead.
Each year, Klum has one goal: to outdo herself. “I don’t want to let my Halloween fans down because there are so many people who love creativity as much as I do and are jonesing to see what I do,” she told Page Six in 2019.
This year, Klum’s costume was inspired by her own hand. She came to her bash as a giant, gory severed hand, complete with long red nails and replicas of her engagement and wedding rings. Even her “Tom” finger tattoo made it to the design, a nod to her husband, Tom Kaulitz.

On what prompted the idea for the hand, Klum told People, “I was looking at my hand, and I was like, ‘Hmm ... I wonder if I could fit in a hand,’” adding, “I was looking at my fingers, and I was like, ‘Fingers could actually be legs.’”
Through the years, Klum has proven true to her goal, outdoing herself with every Halloween costume, from the whimsical to the gory. Here’s a look at every one of them.

Some costumes came with challenges. Of the worm, Klum admitted, “It’s hard for me to move. I don’t really have arms or legs.”
Challenging or not, Klum loves giving her fans a show. “In the end, I want people to smile when they see it, or they go, ‘Wow, this is crazy. I’ve never seen something like this,’” she told People in a 2023 interview.
Thanks to her storage boxes, every one of these creations lives on, ready for the next look back.
