Jason Momoa had a major career moment this month, and he chose to share it in the spotlight with the person he says matters most. The 46-year-old actor arrived at the New York City premiere of “The Wrecking Crew” with girlfriend Adria Arjona, 33, and the pair looked comfortable, affectionate, and fully in step as they posed for photographers.

The premiere, held Thursday, January 15, 2026, marked the public debut of Momoa’s new action comedy, a project that teams him with Dave Bautista.

While the film’s action and humor were the main event, it was Momoa’s personal life that drew plenty of attention after he spoke openly about Arjona’s support and what it means to have their schedules align.

A Red Carpet Night for “The Wrecking Crew”

At the New York City premiere, Momoa and Arjona stayed close as they made their way down the red carpet. They held each other, leaned in for photos, and shared a kiss in front of the cameras, signaling a level of ease that often comes with couples who are no longer trying to keep things private.

When asked about having Arjona by his side, Momoa did not hedge. “I mean, she’s the love of my life. I’m very excited,” he told People.

He also explained why the timing felt especially meaningful for them. “I’m happy we’re aligned in our schedules. We’re both here. She’s going to do a film. I’m going to do a film, so it’s perfect we get to be here together,” he added.

For fans, it was a rare moment of straightforward clarity from Momoa, who has spoken about his personal life carefully over the past few years. This time, he made it clear that Arjona’s presence was not simply a plus-one appearance. It was part of the celebration.

How Momoa and Arjona’s Story Began

Momoa and Arjona first met on the set of “Sweet Girl,” the 2021 film in which they costarred. Their connection later became public, though they have not shared exactly when their relationship turned romantic.

Momoa finalized his divorce from Lisa Bonet in January 2024, and he first revealed that he was in a new relationship in May 2024. Since then, he and Arjona have kept many details to themselves, even as they have appeared together more often at high-profile events.

Adria Arjona’s Career Has Been Building for Years

Arjona’s appearance at the premiere also served as a reminder that she is not simply dating a famous actor. She has built a steady résumé of her own across film and television.

On the film side, Arjona has credits that include “Morbius,” “Father of the Bride,” “Hit Man,” and “Blink Twice.” She is also set for a notable 2026 project with a leading role in the upcoming thriller “Scorn,” opposite Kingsley Ben-Adir.

TV audiences may recognize her from “Emerald City,” “Good Omens,” “Andor,” and “Monsterland.” Earlier in her career, she also appeared in Season 2 of “True Detective,” which added to her visibility as a dramatic performer.

Her background spans several places. Arjona was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and later moved with her family to Mexico City, where she lived until age 12. At 18, she relocated from Miami to New York City to pursue acting, taking on various jobs to support herself while attending the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.

Before her relationship with Momoa became public, Arjona had already experienced major life changes. She married Edgardo Canales in August 2019, and the couple separated in 2023.

What’s Next for the Couple

Momoa’s comments suggested that both are stepping into busy work periods. With new films on the horizon for each of them, their time together may be shaped by overlapping production schedules rather than long stretches at home.

Even so, Momoa’s phrasing emphasized partnership. He highlighted being together in the same city, in the same moment, and supporting each other’s careers rather than competing with them.

A movie premiere is designed to spotlight the work, but Jason Momoa’s night in New York also spotlighted his relationship. Walking the red carpet with Adria Arjona, he spoke with unusual openness, calling her “the love of my life” and celebrating that their careers are allowing them to show up for each other.
