Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Set to Receive Award at Major Gala in New York
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be heading to New York next month to receive an honor for their efforts to make using the internet safer.
On October 9, 2025, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be traveling to the Big Apple, where the Project Healthy Minds' nonprofit will hand them the Humanitarians of the Year Award at the World Mental Health Day Gala.
According to People, they will receive these accolades because of their strife to make online usage safer for all families, but particularly for children. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's work around mental health was also a contributing factor for this honor.
In a statement, the couple expressed that collaborating alongside families and young adults to advocate for online safety has been "some of the meaningful work" they've done so far with The Archewell Foundation.
Meghan and Harry, who are parents to six-year-old Prince Archie and four-year-old Princess Lilibet, were moved by the stories of other families. They also got inspiration from their own kids to keep these efforts going.
"We’re proud to be long-time partners of Project Healthy Minds as we work together to shine a light on what remains one of the most pressing issues of our time," the statement added.
The couple established the Archewell Foundation in 2020 with the simple mission of doing good in the world and being present. Their view on charity differs from others in that they don't believe in just giving money, but working closely with important partners to make change happen.
