JLo Enjoys Day Out Shopping with Ben Affleck’s Son a Year After Filing for Divorce

A year after filing for divorce from Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez was seen shopping and having lunch in Beverly Hills with his son Samuel and her child Emme.

Jennifer Lopez spent the day out with her former stepson, Samuel Affleck, just over a year after filing for divorce from Ben Affleck. The 56-year-old singer and actress was photographed in Beverly Hills on Saturday, Sept. 6, alongside 13-year-old Samuel and her 17-year-old child, Emme. The outing included shopping and lunch.

Lopez wore a crop top with cargo pants and stiletto heels. Samuel was dressed in shorts and a light blue button-down shirt. Emme kept close as the trio visited several luxury stores, including Balenciaga.

At one point, Lopez was seen holding a Dior shopping bag while opening a car door for Samuel. Photos also showed the group browsing for shoes inside a brightly lit store before heading to lunch.

This marks the latest in a string of public outings between Lopez and Samuel. The pair were last spotted shopping together in August 2024 and previously attended a Lakers game in March of the same year.

Lopez and Affleck married in August 2022 at the actor’s Georgia estate. Two years later, she filed for divorce, ending their second engagement after previously calling off a wedding in 2004.

Images of the Beverly Hills outing circulated quickly online and drew a range of responses from fans. Some praised Lopez, with one commenting, "She looks amazing," while another called the gesture "lovely."

Others were more critical. "As a mother first, why would you wear a crop top on an outing with your child and your former stepchild?" one person wrote. Another described her look as a "thirsty outfit." The mix of praise and criticism reflects the ongoing public attention on Lopez's fashion choices and her family ties following her split from Affleck.
