Meghan Markle Shares Sweet ‘Morning Surprise’ from Prince Harry

The Duke of Sussex surprised his wife with a sentimental gift that will likely remain in their home for years to come. The Duchess revealed the item in a sweet video featuring Princess Lilibet.

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, shared a heartwarming video on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, August 26. The clip begins with the former actress walking to her kitchen, where her daughter, Princess Lilibet, plants a kiss on a large framed photo leaning on the kitchen island.

The frame encased a black-and-white image of a beaming Meghan playing with her late beloved pup, Guy. It was also adorned with a light pink ribbon tied into a bow. "Morning surprise from my husband🥹," Meghan wrote over the video.

Guy sadly passed away last year during the festive season. Meghan mourned him and shared her devastation over the loss in a poignant tribute earlier this year in January, posting a video montage of personal clips and photographs of Guy from over the years.

The 44-year-old royal had adopted the beagle from a dog rescue center in Canada in 2015. "He had been at a kill shelter in Kentucky and given a few days to live. I swooped him up….and fell in love," she recalled.

She continued: "If you followed me on instagram back in the day, you saw a lot of him - and on The Tig too. He was with me at Suits, when I got engaged, (and then married), when I became a mom….he was with me for everything: the quiet, the chaos, the calm, the comfort."

"Thank you for so many years of unconditional love, my sweet Guy. You filled my life in ways you'll never know ❤️‍🩹," she concluded.
