Pamela Anderson Is Asked About Meghan Markle Copying Her Cooking Show – Here's What She Said
When it comes to accusations of imitation, Pamela Anderson isn't losing sleep — especially when the alleged copycat is the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.
Pamela Anderson didn't hold back when Andy Cohen raised a buzzy question during her appearance on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen," on whether Meghan Markle had borrowed a little too much inspiration from Anderson's own cooking show.
Cohen asked Anderson, "On a scale from one to 10, how much of a rip-off did you feel like 'With Love, Meghan' was of your show, 'Pamela's Cooking with Love'?"
The 58-year-old actress responded with a shrug and a low number. "One. I didn't — I didn't really look, but I mean, I didn't invent cooking shows." She added diplomatically that Markle is "just doing her thing."
Still, media publications and fans alike couldn't help but compare the two shows. Observers pointed out that both trailers featured striking similarities in tone, visuals, and even phrasing.
Anderson's teaser for "Pamela's Cooking with Love" debuted in October 2024, showing the "Baywatch" star strolling through a garden and laughing in her cozy, rustic kitchen. "I love to cook," she said in the preview. "I just have always wanted to take things to another level."
Three months later, Meghan Markle unveiled her own project, "With Love, Meghan," in a trailer that featured nearly identical imagery: picking vegetables, cooking at home, and smiling through sunlit kitchen scenes. "I've always loved taking something pretty ordinary and elevating it," Markle says in the clip — an echo of Anderson's words.
Both shows also feature their hosts welcoming guests into their homes, cooking together, and exploring new recipes. "With Love, Meghan" is streaming on Netflix, while "Pamela's Cooking with Love" is available on Amazon Prime.
