Eric Dane's Girlfriend Says She Was 'Blindsided' by His Red Carpet Appearance with Janell Shirtcliff

Priya Jain, actor Eric Dane’s alleged girlfriend, says she was "blindsided" when he brought director Janell Shirtcliff to the red carpet, despite her belief that their relationship was intact.

Priya Jain, 27, reportedly felt shocked and hurt after actor Eric Dane, 52, walked the red carpet at the "Countdown" premiere with filmmaker Janell Shirtcliff, 41.

She felt "blindsided" by the sudden relationship debut, claiming "they never broke up," a source close to Jain exclusively told Page Six.

According to the source, Jain and Dane met in summer 2024 and became exclusive that November, shortly before Dane was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Jain was reportedly "devastated by the diagnosis," but remained by his side and spent most nights at his home.

She also formed a bond with his daughters, Billie, 15, and Georgia, 13, whom he shares with ex-wife Rebecca Gayheart.

However, entertainment insiders claimed that Dane and Shirtcliff have had an on-and-off relationship for over three years and still care deeply for each other. One source stated, "Eric asked Janell to be there for him during this time, and she wanted to show up for him."

Meanwhile, Dane's relationship with ex-wife Gayheart, 53, remains amicable. She recently said they are "staying a family" and continue to be "the best of friends" despite thier separation.

Dane made headlines earlier this week when he appeared publicly for the first time since announcing his ALS diagnosis, holding hands with Shirtcliff. He has since revealed that he has lost function in his right arm and is now relying on his left.
