James McCartney Shares Sweet Tribute for Dad Paul McCartney’s Birthday

The 47-year-old took to Instagram to celebrate the legendary musician's birthday with a sweet message. His siblings also honored their father with their own respective tributes.

On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, Sir Paul McCartney marked a significant milestone—his 83rd birthday. His son, James McCartney, took to social media to honor him with a brief but heartfelt message.

"Happiest of birthdays to you, Dad, on this special day, born in Liverpool on 18th June 1942. Have a wonderful day. All my love, always. James ❤️ xx," James wrote.

Alongside the caption was a photo of the pair smiling for the camera as they posed in an embrace. In the image, James is undeniably the spitting image of his father. He's also not the only one of the singer's children to wish their dad a happy birthday.

His sister, Mary Anna McCartney, shared a photo of a young sunkissed Paul cradling baby Mary in his jacket. "Happy birthday dad ❤️," she began.

"Mum took this photo in Scotland at the end of a summers day at golden hour. You make me feel as warm safe and happy as you did back then x Love you always x Mary," she penned.

Paul's younger daughter, Stella McCartney, also shared a videomontage showing clips from her childhood that feature her father. "I wish you the happiest of birthdays, Dad…" she wrote.

"I am forever grateful to Grandma Mary and Grandad James for bringing you into this Earth… The entire world has been touched by your soul and gift of art… We all hold memories that have deeply impacted our lives," she continued.

Sir Paul later expressed his gratitude to fans and loved ones for the birthday greetings.
