Video of Passenger on Air India Flight Hours Before Crash Goes Viral
Chilling footage from the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, shared by a passenger, has circulated widely on social media, showing concerning defects in the plane's interior hours before takeoff.
On Thursday, June 12, Akash Vasta posted a video on his X account. Vasta was already in his seat when he recorded the clip, complaining about the defective components of the flight, including the TV touchscreens and lights.

"And as usual, the map, the in-flight entertainment is not working," he can be heard saying in the video. Vasta proceeds to pick up the in-flight entertainment remote control and presses a few buttons to demonstrate its lack of functionality.
"Nothing is working, nothing at all," he says, clearly exasperated. He also mentions that the air-conditioning inside the plane was not working, and panned to other passengers who were using magazines to fan themselves.

"The AC is not working at all. And as usual, your TV screens are also not working, neither this button for calling the cabin crew. Nothing is working. Nothing! Not even the light is working. Is this what you're providing?" he asks.
"As usual, Air India is considered one of the worst airlines in the world," Vasta continues.
Hours later, the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner—Flight AI171—would crash in Meghani Nagar, Ahmedabad, just five minutes after taking off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport.
The tragic accident claimed 241 passengers' lives, leaving only one survivor: a British man named Vishwashkumar Ramesh (also known as Ajay). There were also casualties on the ground.
