Timothée Chalamet Hits the Oscars Red Carpet Without Kylie Jenner Amid Backlash Over Ballet Comment

Timothée Chalamet walked the 2026 Oscars red carpet alone, sparking curiosity as Kylie Jenner skipped the photo call. The couple reunited inside the ceremony, where Chalamet appeared relaxed despite recent backlash tied to comments about opera and ballet.

The actor posed for photographers during the Oscars photo call wearing an all-white double-breasted suit paired with a white shirt and matching tie. He completed the look with white boots and several silver rings, creating a clean and polished appearance for the evening.

Jenner, however, did not join him for photos outside the Dolby Theatre. Although she skipped the red carpet, Jenner later met Chalamet inside the ceremony. She also shared a glimpse of her outfit with followers on Instagram, posting a preview of the look she chose for the night.

The reality star wore a ruby red Schiaparelli gown featuring a plunging scoop neckline and a keyhole cutout at the chest area. She accessorized the ensemble with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, wearing approximately 200 carats of diamonds across her necklace, earrings, and rings.

First Major Appearance After Backlash

The Oscars also marked Chalamet’s first major public appearance since comments he made about opera and ballet sparked backlash within the arts community. Despite the criticism, the "Marty Supreme" star appeared unbothered during the evening’s events.

Inside the venue, Chalamet and Jenner were seen sitting together ahead of the ceremony and interacting comfortably. The pair was photographed holding hands and staying close while waiting for the show to begin.

Chalamet attended the ceremony as a nominee for Best Actor, making the evening an important moment in his awards season campaign.

The couple was not alone during the ceremony. Chalamet’s sister, Pauline Chalamet, also attended the event and was seen spending time with the pair before the show began.

Jenner has frequently accompanied Chalamet throughout the 2026 awards season, appearing with him at several major industry events. She attended the Palm Springs Film Festival, the Golden Globes, the Critics Choice Awards, and the BAFTAs alongside the actor.

During both the Golden Globes and the Critics Choice Awards, Chalamet won the Best Actor category and publicly acknowledged Jenner during his acceptance speeches.

At the Critics Choice Awards, he offered his most detailed tribute to her while she was in the audience. "And lastly, I’ll just say thank you to my partner of three years. Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn’t do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart," he said.

Even though Jenner skipped the red carpet photo call, the couple still drew attention during the ceremony itself. Inside the venue, the pair appeared comfortable and close throughout the event, reinforcing their presence together during one of Hollywood’s biggest nights.

As the 2026 awards season nears its conclusion, Chalamet and Jenner’s continued appearances at major ceremonies remain a point of interest for fans following the actor’s career and public life.
