What was meant to be a celebration of Miley Cyrus' latest artistic endeavor quickly turned chaotic when fans mistook the film premiere for a live concert — and made their disappointment loudly known.

What began as a celebratory film premiere for Miley Cyrus turned unexpectedly chaotic when fans in attendance mistook the event for a live concert and began heckling the pop star.

Cyrus appeared at the Tribeca Festival in New York City for the debut screening of "Something Beautiful," a visual film that shares its title with her newly released album. During a Q&A session with producer Panos Cosmatos and co-directors Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walter, audience members abruptly interrupted, demanding a musical performance.

"We paid $800. Sing!" one attendee shouted from the crowd. Another added, "We thought this was a concert!"

In an attempt to calm the audience, Cyrus responded with an impromptu a cappella rendition of "The Climb," her hit ballad from the 2009 film "Hannah Montana: The Movie."

"Something Beautiful" marks Cyrus' ninth studio album, released on May 30, 2025. The accompanying visual film, which premiered at Tribeca, is set for theatrical release later on June 12, 2025.
