Ben Affleck Spotted Having Lunch With Daughter Violet and Son Samuel
The father of three enjoyed a casual day out in California with his eldest and youngest child. The sighting comes after his daughter Violet released an essay revealing an emotional interaction with her mother during the LA wildfires.
Ben Affleck was seen with Violet and Samuel at a restaurant in Santa Monica. The three of them were photographed dining outside while chatting, and were seen leaving with leftover takeaways.

Ben wore a red and gray flannel shirt over a black T-shirt, paired with jeans and sneakers. Samuel opted for beige Nike sweatpants and a gray T-shirt with white AirForce 1s.
Violet also kept it casual, wearing a white cropped cardigan over a green graphic tee, paired with white pants covered in a colorful food print. She completed the look with chunky white sneakers, black socks, and a large white handbag.
Their appearance comes just over a week after Violet published her essay, "A Chronically Ill Earth: COVID Organizing as a Model Climate Response in Los Angeles," in The Yale Global Health Review.
She begins by recalling, "I spent the January fires in Los Angeles arguing with my mother [Jennifer Garner] in a hotel room. She was shell-shocked, astonished at the scale of destruction in the neighborhood where she raised myself and my siblings."

Violet said she was surprised by Jennifer's surprise, adding that "as a lifelong Angelena and climate-literate member of generation Z" her question had not been whether the Palisades would burn but when.
The 19-year-old noted how it was the behaviors of the wealthiest citizens from the wealthiest countries that drove climate change. She goes on to draw parallels between how society reacted during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic and how it reacted to the fires.
