Ivanna Ortiz, 35, was charged on March 10, 2026, with one count of attempted murder along with 14 felony counts related to the shooting. Authorities allege that the incident occurred on Sunday, March 8, 2026, while Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, and their three children were inside the home.

According to the criminal complaint, Ortiz’s actions were described as "willful, deliberate, and premeditated." Prosecutors say the shooting created a dangerous situation for everyone present at the residence. If convicted on the charges, Ortiz could face life in prison.

Details of the Alleged Incident

Authorities say Ortiz drove up to the front of the Beverly Hills property and fired a semiautomatic weapon multiple times toward the home.

At the time of the shooting, eight people were inside the residence. This included Rihanna, her partner A$AP Rocky, their three children, Rihanna’s mother, and two employees.

No injuries were reported in connection with the shooting, but the alleged gunfire prompted an immediate law enforcement response.

According to Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman, Ortiz also allegedly fired shots at a neighboring home where two individuals were present. This alleged act contributed to the multiple felony counts filed against her.

Charges Filed Against the Suspect

Ortiz faces several serious charges stemming from the incident. Among the charges are 10 counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and three counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling or camper.

These counts, along with the attempted murder charge, form the basis of the 14 felony charges listed in the criminal complaint.

Prosecutors argue that the number of individuals who were potentially placed in danger during the shooting contributed to the severity of the charges.

Ortiz’s attorney, Deputy Public Defender Jamarcus Bradford, initially entered a not guilty plea on her behalf. However, that plea was later withdrawn ahead of her formal arraignment later this month.

Case Moves Toward Arraignment

Following the alleged shooting, Ortiz reportedly fled the scene. Authorities later arrested her in Sherman Oaks shortly after the incident occurred. Officials have set her bail at $1,875,000, according to District Attorney Nathan Hochman.

The investigation into the shooting remains a serious matter given the number of people present at the property during the alleged incident.

Prosecutors have emphasized the severity of the allegations, particularly the claim that the act was intentional and carried out with premeditation.

Ortiz is scheduled to appear in court on March 25, 2026, for her arraignment, where the charges will be formally addressed. If convicted, she could face a life sentence.
