Zac Efron Shows Support for Brother Dylan Efron by Watching 'DWTS' Semifinals Live
Zac Efron finally showed up to cheer on his brother Dylan during the "Dancing With the Stars" semifinals, just as the competition reached its peak. It turns out, the "High School Musical" alum came at the right time.
Dylan Efron and his dance partner Daniella Karagach had an all-out support system during the "Dancing With the Stars" semi-finals as Zac Efron, 38, finally made an appearance in support of his younger brother.
The "High School Musical" alum sat front and center on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, with their little sister Olivia, 5, on his lap. Dylan and Daniella are on week ten of the competition, which made many wonder why Zac took this long to show up.
However, it's never too late, and in fact, Zac came at the right time. Dylan and Daniella are advancing to the finals, and Zac was there to see the routine that made it all happen.

Dylan Reacts to His Brother's Support
As for Dylan's reaction to Zac's appearance, he candidly told E! News, "It meant everything. Like, I grew up watching him do stuff like this so the fact he's now watching me do this is crazy."
The host went on to note Zac's big smile while watching Dylan perform, adding that the older brother must be proud of Dylan's achievements on the show. "He is. It means the world to me," he said with a big smile.
A Family Moment in the Spotlight
Zac's appearance also served as a mini reunion with "DWTS" host Julianne Hough, his former co-star in "Dirty Grandpa." The two were seen catching up and posing for a photo together during a break in the live show.
Dylan and Zac, whose parents Starla Baskett and David Efron divorced in 2016, are now big brothers to Olivia and Henry, 4, whom David has since welcomed with his second wife.
From Newcomer to Finalist
This "Dancing With The Stars" season marked Dylan's debut in the ballroom. While best known for his work in the fitness and travel space, the 33-year-old quickly surprised viewers with his growth week after week.
Paired with Daniella Karagach, a former Mirrorball Trophy winner, the duo tackled a variety of routines, steadily climbing the leaderboard.
Their semi-final performances included a tango to Prince's "I Would Die 4 U" and a cha cha to "Kiss," earning high scores from the judges and securing their place in the finals.
A Tribute Through Dance
Back in October 2025, Dylan shared a deeply personal moment during the competition when he and Daniella performed "Rewrite the Stars," a song originally sung by his older brother Zac and Zendaya.
Dylan dedicated the emotional routine to his younger sister Olivia, who was there in the studio and rushed to embrace him after the performance. It was a touching display of sibling love that resonated with viewers and hinted at a quiet tribute to Zac as well.
In a pre-show interview, Dylan reflected on the moment, sharing that the kind of big brother Zac had been to him over the years was exactly the kind of older brother he hoped to be for Olivia.
With Zac finally cheering from the audience and his younger siblings nearby, Dylan is heading into the "Dancing With the Stars" finals with the best support system he could ask for. As the competition nears its end, the Efron family is showing up strong and together for what comes next.
