Jason Segel and Kayla Radomski Marry at the Same Gardens Where He Proposed

The bride called it “an absolute DREAM,” and her brother says she “found happily ever after.” Inside the newlyweds’ special day and the sweet backstory behind their choice of venue.

Jason Segel and Kayla Radomski’s love story came full circle when the couple tied the knot in the garden where they got engaged.

The “Shrinking” star, 46, married the “So You Think You Can Dance” alum, 35, on Saturday, October 17, at The Huntington Library Botanical Gardens in San Marino, California, according to a photo of the wedding invitation shared on Instagram by a friend, as reported by People.

The venue holds a special place in the couple’s love story. Apart from being the site of one of their early dates, it was also where Segel got down on one knee to propose.

The day after the couple said “I do,” Radomski shared a photo of herself in her lace-edged veil on her Instagram story. “Yesterday was an absolute DREAM,” she wrote, adding, “More to come from Mrs. Segel.”

When a friend posted that she had “ugly cried all day,” the bride replied, “I’m STILL crying!!!!” Radomski’s brother also shared a photo of the newlyweds, writing, “My sister found happily ever after.”

The couple’s engagement came after a lot of planning on Segel’s part. He shared with Jimmy Kimmel in April that he first tricked Radomski into believing they couldn’t get engaged until “Shrinking” ended, then orchestrated a ruse to convince her that they were attending a “donor dinner” at the gardens, even suggesting the LA Times would be there. “By the time this night arrives, it sounds like a total chore,” Segel told Kimmel.

Upon arriving at the venue, Radomski noticed a carpet of rose petals in front of a Greek statue, but she assumed they were for someone else, saying, “Aw, someone must have just gotten married here.” At that point, Segel asked her to close her eyes and make a wish, and while her eyes were closed, he got down on one knee and proposed.

Segel had expectations that night, he told Kimmel. He wanted to drive Radomski to tears. At first, he thought he failed, seeing only a single tear come out of her. But his surprise wasn’t over. A string quartet began to play the theme from “Beauty and the Beast,” Radomski’s favorite movie, and that’s when, Segel said, “She lost it.”

On June 18, 2025, Radomski announced their engagement on Instagram, sharing images from that fateful day and writing, “FOREVER YES.”

The couple were first linked in October 2023, when they were photographed holding hands at Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights. The following year, they made their red carpet debut at the 2024 Golden Globes, where Segel was nominated for his role in “Shrinking.”

Segel has spoken a few times about the impact Radomski has had on his life. At the 2025 Emmys, shortly after their engagement, he said, “I’m with the person I love, life is calm and good, everything’s in good order.”

He also told Kimmel, “My whole life, work has been my beloved, and now the whole lens of how I view things has switched, and I’m having the best time of my life”
