Reba McEntire Is Moved to Tears After Blind Audition Makes Her Feel 'Homesick' on 'The Voice'
Reba McEntire was brought to tears during a recent blind audition on "The Voice," moved by a singer who reminded her of the legends of country music.
Reba McEntire was visibly emotional during the blind auditions on the latest episode of "The Voice." Season 28 kicked off at Universal Studios Hollywood on Monday, September 22, 2025, featuring a lineup of talented singers.
Georgia native Manny Costello impressed the judges with his own version of Craig Morgan's "Almost Home." Reba, 70, was deeply moved by his performance.
"Manny, you made me homesick. It took me back to all the greats that I've been so fortunate to get to listen to in my life," she said, holding back tears.
"You've gotten qualities from George Jones and [Merle] Haggard, and there's a little Randy [Travis] in there. It's just a great combination. Gosh dang, why am I getting so emotional? It's tears of joy," she added.
Snoop Dogg, affectionately called "Snoopy" by Reba, also turned his chair and offered tissues to his fellow coach. "I feel very blessed to be in the country music business all these years," Reba added. "You just triggered something that needed to come out and say, 'Happy to be here.' I'd love you on my team."
Manny ultimately chose to join Team Reba, inspired by his daughters, Maggie and Leighton, who are longtime fans of her show. "I love hanging out with my daughters. We bond, we cuddle a lot, we watch the 'Reba' show all the time. My daughters love music. They love when I sing… I want to show them that you can put anything you put your mind to if you believe in yourself," he said.
