Donald and Melania Trump made a striking entrance in the U.K., their coordinated purple ensembles signaling both style and stature as they arrived for a high-profile state visit with the British royal family.
Prince William and Princess Kate resumed their roles as gracious hosts on Wednesday, welcoming U.S. President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump to the United Kingdom for a state visit with King Charles.

The president and first lady arrived in coordinated shades of regal purple. Trump wore a striking purple tie, while Melania complemented him with a stylish purple hat, creating a bold and elegant statement as they stepped onto British soil.

The 43-year-old royal couple was the first to greet President Trump, 79, and the First Lady, 55, at Windsor Castle before escorting them to meet the King, 76, and Queen Camilla, 78.

After disembarking from Marine One, President Trump greeted Prince William with a handshake and a friendly pat on the shoulder. Turning to the Princess of Wales, he said, "You're beautiful, so beautiful," as they shook hands.

For the event, Kate opted for a maroon Emilia Wickstead dress paired with a Jane Taylor hat. She added a sentimental touch with a brooch that once belonged to Princess Diana.
