Devon Walker Exits 'Saturday Night Live' After Three Years
Comedian Devon Walker has officially closed a chapter in his career, parting ways with "Saturday Night Live" after three years on the iconic sketch show.
Devon Walker confirmed his departure from "Saturday Night Live" on August 25, 2025, sharing a series of backstage photos on social media.
He captioned the post, "Me and baby broke up," before sharing a lengthier explanation inside the photo carousel. Reflecting on the experience, the 34-year-old likened work in entertainment to being in a series of relationships. Walker wrote that some jobs "last for a long time if we're lucky, but most of them are fleeting."
"Me and the show did three years together, and sometimes it was really cool," he added. "Sometimes it was toxic as hell. But we did what we made the most of what it was, even amidst all of the dysfunction. We made a [expletive] up lil family."
During his three seasons on the show, Walker became known for his celebrity impressions, including Michael Strahan and New York City Mayor Eric Adams. He also expressed gratitude toward fellow comedians and SNL writers Alex English and Gary Richardson.
As for his next chapter, Walker shared that he has ambitious plans beyond sketch comedy. He said he intends to travel to Japan before pursuing opportunities in television and film — ideally a role in a prestige drama. "Ideally something with Julianne Moore," he joked.
