Priscilla Presley Accused of Ending Lisa Marie's Life Support, Lawsuit Claims
A new lawsuit alleges that Priscilla Presley made the decision to end daughter Lisa Marie Presley's life support in an effort to seize control of her estate and the Presley family legacy.
Priscilla Presley's former business associates have accused the 80-year-old of deliberately ending Lisa Marie Presley's life support to gain control over her daughter's trust and the Presley name, according to a lawsuit filed in California.
Lisa Marie, the only child of Priscilla and the late Elvis Presley, died in January 2023 after suffering cardiac arrest at her home in California. She was 54.
The complaint, obtained by The New York Post, was filed by Brigitte Kruse and Kevin Fialko, who head Priscilla Presley Partners. They allege that Priscilla "ultimately wanted to control" Lisa Marie's trust and Graceland, the famed Memphis estate once owned by Elvis.
Kruse and Fialko accuse Priscilla — who was married to Elvis from 1967 until 1973 — of breach of contract and fraud, seeking at least $50 million in damages. They claim she knew Lisa Marie intended to remove her as sole trustee and "pulled the plug within hours of Lisa being admitted" to the hospital.
The filing further states, "Priscilla knew that Lisa's death neutralized the threat of Lisa's efforts to have Priscilla removed as the sole trustee of Lisa's irrevocable life insurance trust, and Priscilla ultimately wanted to control the Promenade Trust and Graceland." It also alleges that the following week, at her home, Priscilla declared, "I'm the queen. I'm in charge of Graceland."
Priscilla's attorney, Marty Singer, strongly rejected the claims, calling the case "one of the most shameful, ridiculous, salacious, and meritless" lawsuits he had ever encountered.
Speaking to TMZ, Singer described it as "nothing more than a sad and vicious attempt to falsely tarnish the reputation of an eighty-year-old woman," adding that her opponents are now on their fourth set of lawyers and labeling the suit a "disgusting publicity stunt."
