Connie Francis's Close Friend Ron Roberts Shares Glimpse Into Her Final Moments: 'We Were Expecting It'
The veteran singer previously admitted that she had forgotten about one of her hit songs, "Pretty Little Baby," until it began trending online months ago.
Connie Francis's close pal, Ron Roberts, candidly discussed what she went through before she recently died on July 16, 2025. He was the one who announced her death at 87 in a Facebook post the next day.
Concerning her passing, Roberts said, "We were expecting it, unfortunately … they couldn't locate where the pain was exactly." He added that Francis mistook the pain for a hip issue because it had been a problem for some time.
Two weeks ago, Francis shared with her fans on Facebook that she would be back in the hospital as she was undergoing tests to determine the cause of the unbearable pain she felt.
Another two days later, she updated the fans, sharing that she had been "feeling much better" after a good rest. Sadly, it was also the same day that Roberts would be in contact with her.
The journalist described the singer as a "fighter" who managed to leave the hospital after a few days, but her condition worsened, and she fell unconscious before she died peacefully.
Just two months ago, she was elated when her 1962 hit song, "Pretty Little Baby," went viral on TikTok and has garnered 10 billion views to date. "To tell you the truth, I didn't even remember the song!" Francis admitted in an interview.
