Orlando Bloom Posts Quote About 'Loneliness' After Katy Perry Breakup
The "Lord of the Rings" actor shared a series of Carl Jung quotes reflecting on the human condition. The post comes shortly after his split from the "Firework" singer.
Orlando Bloom took to Instagram on Wednesday, July 2, to post a lengthy thread of quotes from the late Swiss psychiatrist and psychotherapist Carl Jung, who is credited with founding analytical psychology.

The musings were a repost from another Instagram account, SAPIENKIND, but appeared especially relevant given the recent end of his seven-year engagement from his former partner, Katy Perry.

"Loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself," the first quote read.
"We cannot change anything unless we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate; it oppresses," said a second.
"Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word happy would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness," read a third.
Bloom and Perry had been together for almost ten years when their relationship was confirmed to have ended. They first started dating in 2016 and briefly split after nearly a year before rekindling the romance.
They got engaged in February 2019 and welcomed their daughter, Daisy, the following year. The former couple had been plagued by separation rumors for weeks when news emerged that Perry was renting out their home in Montecito in June.

Speculation intensified when outlets reported that Bloom would be "debuting as a single man" at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's wedding in Venice. Despite the ongoing coverage surrounding their breakup, however, Bloom and Perry have chosen to stay quiet.
