BTS Announces Return of All Seven Members with New Album and World Tour in 2026
After years of anticipation, K-Pop sensation BTS is officially reuniting in 2026 with a new album and global tour, marking the end of their military service hiatus.
During a livestream on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, viewed by more than 7.3 million fans worldwide, K-Pop group BTS announced plans to release a full group album in the spring of 2026, with recording set to begin this month. It was the group's first joint livestream in nearly three years.

Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook confirmed they are returning as a complete unit, emphasizing the collaborative nature of their upcoming release.
"Since it will be a group album, it will reflect each member's thoughts and ideas," they shared. "We're approaching the album with the same mindset we had when we first started." A world tour will follow the album's release, with the group telling fans, "I hope you're as excited as we are."

The announcement marks a major milestone as all seven members have now completed their mandatory military service in South Korea, which was the primary reason for the group's hiatus. Under South Korean law, all able-bodied men are required to serve in the Republic of Korea Armed Forces, typically by age 30.

In addition to the group plans, individual members shared updates on their solo endeavors through the rest of 2025. The group praised Jin's recent solo concerts in Korea, calling it "a show that only Jin could pull off."
They also expressed excitement for J-Hope's upcoming headlining appearance at Lollapalooza Berlin. J-Hope's recent solo releases have performed strongly in the U.S., with three tracks climbing high on the charts.
BTS, known for breaking global music records and reshaping the K-pop industry, last released a group album in 2020. Their return in 2026 is expected to reignite their global dominance and draw millions of fans to concert venues across continents.
