Emma Heming’s Emotional Father’s Day Tribute to Husband Bruce Willis
Father's day came with an overwhelming wave of emotions for the "Die Hard" actor's wife. She reflected how his disease has impacted their family life in a lengthy and heartfelt message on Instagram.
On Sunday, June 15, Emma Hemming took to Instagram to honor her husband, Bruce Willis, on Father's Day. The model and actress shares two daughters, Mabel Ray and Evelyn Penn, with the veteran movie star, who has been battling frontotemporal dementia (FTD).

"Happy Father's Day to all the dads living with disability or disease, showing up in the ways they can and to the children who show up for them," she began in her message.
"What Bruce teaches our girls goes far beyond words. Resilience, unconditional love, and the quiet strength in simply being present," she continued. Alongside her caption was a sweet photo of Bruce in an embrace with Evelyn.
"This photo says so much. Love deepens. It adapts. It stays, even when everything else changes," Emma noted. However, she added that "symbolic" days like Father's Day tend to "stir up a lot" for her. "I'm profoundly sad today," she shared.
Emma expressed a deep wish that things could be "different" for Bruce and "lighter" for their family. "As they say in our FTD community, 'It is what it is,'" she remarked.

"And while that might sound dismissive, to me, it's not. It grounds me. It helps me return to the acceptance of what is and not fight this every step of the way like I used to," she continued.
"Today, let's celebrate the badass dads, those who are here, and those we carry with us 💙 Onward," she concluded.
Bruce also shares three older daughters—Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah—with his ex-wife Demi Moore. Much like Emma, Rumer was also grappling with mixed emotions on Father's Day. "I wish I asked you more questions while you could still tell me about it all," she wrote in her own Instagram post.
"But I know you wouldn't want me to be sad today so I'll try to just be grateful reminding myself how lucky I am that you're my dad and that you're still with me and I can still hold you and hug you and kiss your cheek and rub your head I can tell you stories [sic]," she penned.
