Eric Dane Attends ‘Countdown’ Premiere with Girlfriend Janell Shirtcliff

The "Grey's Anatomy" star made a red carpet debut alongside the photographer, putting an end to dating speculations. Sources say the pair have been in an on and off relationship for years.

Eric Dane stepped out on Wednesday afternoon as one of the expected attendees at Prime Video's "Countdown" Los Angeles premiere, held at the Harmony Gold Theater.

The actor is one of the leading stars in the limited series and he brought his beau, director and photographer Janell Shirtcliff, along for support.

He opted for a relaxed style for the event, wearing a white T-shirt under a cream cardigan with textured detailing, paired with beige corduroy-style joggers and white sneakers. He completed the look with dark sunglasses.

Beside him, Shirtcliff donned a sleeveless maroon pinstripe blazer dress and accessorized with dark sunglasses, a chunky necklace, and a unique green suede handbag with matching heels.

The pair arrived on the red carpet and appeared at ease as they posed for photos. Dane also took pictures with his co-stars and chatted with reporters ahead of the screening.

Shortly after his debut with Shirtcliff, a source revealed to Entertainment Tonight that the pair have been a couple for more than three years.

"The two have been in an on-and-off relationship for over three years and care deeply for each other. Eric asked Janell to be there for him during this time, and she wanted to show up for him," the source told the publication.

"They're extremely close and mean a great deal to one another," the insider added. Shirtcliff has been there for Dane as he navigates his ALS diagnosis. He also remains close to his wife, Rebecca Gayheart, who dismissed their divorce petition in 2018 due to his health.

Amid his health battles, Dane said he and Gayheart have become "better friends and better parents." The day before the premiere, he and Shirtcliff had been spotted on a date at the Chateau Marmont in LA⁠.

In the series, he portrays Nathan Blythe, who recruits a secret task force assigned with murder case. However, as they investigate, they uncover a sinister plot targeting the lives of millions—and must race against the clock to save their city.
