Beyoncé Reportedly Gives Away Cowboy Carter Tickets in the UK
The industry heavy-hitter is reportedly giving away tickets to her shows during the London stretch of her world tour to families in need, as several seat sections still needed to be filled.
Beyonce's U.K. leg of her Cowboy Carter Tour kicked off on the evening of Thursday, June 5, with her first show in London at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
According to reports since that first night, however, the singer has been struggling to sell out tickets for each of her shows. To remedy the situation, it's reported that she has been giving away tickets to families who rely on soup kitchens to get by.
According to The Sun, food banks, which help feed the needy, have been offering tickets to low-income families.
The tickets first went on sale in February this year, with the price, £950, leaving fans in shock. During the fan pre-sale, tickets were available for £620.
Later on, however, promoters significantly reduced the prices to £141.60, leaving many early buyers frustrated after paying the original rates.
Additionally, it's said that fans have been opting for other major tours, as competition in the live music space is currently quite high. But whether Beyonce has indeed been giving away tickets to the needy to fill up seats is something the superstar has yet to address.
