Court Grants Taylor Swift Protection From Ex-Convict Stalker
A Los Angeles court has granted Taylor Swift a temporary restraining order against an ex-convict she says has repeatedly stalked her and appeared at her home uninvited, sparking serious safety concerns.
Taylor Swift took legal action on June 6, 2025, against 45-year-old Brian Jason Wagner, whom she identified as a persistent stalker with a criminal record.
Court documents reveal Wagner has shown up at Swift's Los Angeles residence multiple times, claiming she is the mother of his child.
In her filing, Swift stated that Wagner changed the address on his driver's license to match her property and has made several unannounced visits to her estate—most recently on consecutive days in May. During these incidents, Wagner reportedly told security he was there to "check on a friend."
Swift alleges that Wagner's harassment began while he was incarcerated. After her security team conducted a background check and uncovered his criminal history, Swift learned that Wagner had been sending her letters from prison, many of which detailed fictitious personal involvement with her.
According to the documents, Wagner's troubling behavior was also apparent in 2024, when he allegedly visited her home at least three times in July.
The singer emphasized in her declaration that she has never met or communicated with Wagner and considers his repeated intrusions a direct threat to her safety. She requested—and was granted—a temporary restraining order requiring Wagner to remain at least 100 yards away from her, her home, her workplace, and her vehicle.
