Three Girls Who Went Missing With Their Dad Found Dead
The bodies of the young girls, all under the age of 10, were found just days after they were reported missing by their mother. Police are searching for their father on suspicion of murder and kidnapping.
On Friday, May 30, 2025, Whitney Decker watched her daughters, Paityn, 9, Evelyn, 8, and Olivia, 5, as they left with their father—her ex-husband—Travis Decker, 32, as part of a planned visitation in their custody agreement.
Travis was homeless, living out of his vehicle—believed to be a white 2017 GMC Sierra pickup—and hopping between hotels, motels, and local camping grounds.
He was meant to return that same day with the girls, but when he didn't, their mother filed a missing persons report with the Wenatchee Police Department (WPD).
The authorities responded immediately, and began working to determine the girls' and Travis' whereabouts, as the father had gone outside the parameters of the parenting plan.
At the time, police said the investigation had not met the AMBER Alert criteria, but had issued an Endangered Missing Persons' Alert (EMPA) through the Washington State Patrol.

In a heartbreaking turn of events, the WPD released an update, revealing that the bodies of Paityn, Evelyn, and Olivia had been found near the Rock Island Campground on June 2, 2025.
A Chelan County deputy had identified Travis's unoccupied pickup truck at this location and contacted law enforcement. Travis was not found at the scene and is now wanted for three counts of murder first degree and kidnapping first degree.
He is described as "former Military with extensive training," and police have warned the public to refrain from approaching him as it is unknown if he is armed and he may pose a significant risk. However, if anyone identifies him, they are asked to call 911 immediately.
A GoFundMe has also been launched to help Whitney with funeral expenses for her daughters and handle legal costs.
