Jessie J Reveals Breast Cancer Diagnosis After Years of Health Struggles

The English singer admitted she hesitated to share her recent health battle due to concerns about public opinion and the media making it way bigger than it is for her.

Jessie J took to her Instagram on June 4, 2025, and disclosed that before her song "No Secrets" came out, she was diagnosed with early breast cancer.

"Cancer sucks in any form, but I'm holding on to the word 'early.' "I have been in and out of tests throughout this whole period," revealed the songwriter.

The British native debated whether to share the news, fearing the media might exaggerate the situation. Still, Jessie J emphasized that she wanted to break the news to her fans because she has always been open about what she goes through in life, adding:

"I'm not processing it because I'm working so hard. I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me, with other people giving me their love and support, and also their own stories."

The music star added it breaks her heart knowing how much other people go through similar situations or worse. She will be undergoing surgery after performing at the Summertime Ball on June 15, 2025, in London.

The recent health issue is one of the many battles Jessie J has faced over the years. She suffered a miscarriage in 2021 years after doctors told her she could not conceive. Thankfully, she has since welcomed a son named, Sky.

In addition, the 37-year-old was diagnosed with a heart condition when she was only nine years old, which led her to suffer a stroke at 17. She also has an inner ear condition and developed nodules on her vocal folds, making it difficult for her to sing.
