Michelle Obama discussed women's choice when it comes to reproduction on the recent episode of her "IMO" podcast with her brother, Craig Robinson.

"When a woman's body is reduced to the politics of the debate on choice, we neglect to see reproductive health as part of a bigger, broader picture of our overall health," she captioned the clip from the podcast on Instagram.

In the video, the former First Lady explained that many men don't understand what women go through, adding, "We haven't been researched. We haven't been considered."

Because of this, the attorney stated that it affects the way male lawmakers, politicians, and religious leaders perceive the issue of choice — as if it's only about the fetus. She further added:

"But women's reproductive health is about our life. It's about this whole complicated reproductive system that the least of what it does is produce life."

Obama's comments sparked backlash online as some netizens expressed disapproval of her view. "I'm embarrassed she was our First Lady. Shut up and go away," penned one person.

Another asked, "Isn't creating life literally what 'reproductive' means???" "That is not what a real MOM would say," added someone else. While one remarked, "And I guess aborting a baby is up there quite higher, right Michelle?"

The remarks are only one of the author's latest controversial statements. In the same episode of her podcast, she also criticized women for voting for President Donald Trump.

She accused them of blindly following their husbands when casting their vote for the current head of state. "So, just to direct this at women, unfortunately, we've seen is not enough," said Obama.
