
Tom Hanks Joins His Castmates at ‘The Phoenician Scheme’ Premiere
The decorated actor and filmmaker arrived in style at the prestigious event for the New York City premiere of the new Wes Anderson film, in which his son worked behind the scenes.

The 68-year-old looked dapper as he walked the red carpet and posed for photos alongside his castmates. He kept it classic in a navy blue suit, paired with a black dress shirt and black lace-up shoes.

The "Forrest Gump" star also appeared to be in good spirits as he shook hands and interacted with his costars, who included Benicio Del Toro, Mia Threapleton, Scarlett Johansson, Bryan Cranston, Michael Cera, and more.

The film's story follows a wealthy man named Zsa-zsa Korda (Del Toro) who appoints his only daughter, Leisl (Threapleton), a nun, as the sole heir to his estate.

However, as Zsa-zsa launches a new enterprise, he and Leisl soon become the targets of tycoons, foreign terrorists, and unrelenting assassins.

The movie was first screened at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this month as part of the Feature Films competition. Tom plays a character named Leland in the action-comedy, which was released on Thursday, May 29.
On the contrary, his son, Truman Hanks, contributed to the behind-the-scenes work, serving as a film loader. Under the cast list on IMDb, the 29-year-old is also listed as an Administrative Secretary.
