Jimmy Kimmel took aim at former President Donald Trump in a recent monologue, joking that Savannah Chrisley's appearance, and her public support, may have played a role in his decision to pardon her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley.

Kimmel began by showing a clip of former President Trump in the Oval Office, personally calling Savannah Chrisley to inform her of his decision to pardon her parents. "I don't know them, but give them my regards, and wish them a good life," Trump told Savannah during the call.

Then, Kimmel went on to joke about the real reason why the Chrisleys were pardoned. "The real reason Trump released the Chrisleys is because A) their daughter is good-looking, and B) she spoke in support of him last year at the RNC," Kimmel quipped during his monologue.

"Turns out, that was a savvy move," he added, referring to Savannah's decision to stay well-connected with the Trump administration. He then went on to play a video of Savannah Chrisley's reaction to President Trump personally calling her to deliver the news of her parents' pardon.

Todd and Julie Chrisley, known for their reality show "Chrisley Knows Best," were granted presidential pardons after serving just over two years of their respective 12- and 7-year sentences. The couple had been convicted of multiple financial crimes, including bank fraud, tax evasion, and concealing income from their reality series.

Todd had been incarcerated at the Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola, Florida, while Julie was serving her time at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Their release followed a high-profile campaign led by their daughter, Savannah Chrisley, who has been vocal in advocating for their freedom.
