Heidi Klum and Benson Boone shared a spontaneous interaction on the purple carpet at the American Music Awards, which ended in a near-mishap when Klum briefly lost her footing.

Boone arrived at the event wearing a green tailored pants-and-coat set paired with a deep V-neck white shirt. While stopping for photos in front of a sea of photographers, Klum approached and playfully tugged on Boone's pants. The "Beautiful Things" singer appeared surprised at first but laughed after realizing it was Klum.

As she turned to walk away, she accidentally stepped on the train of her dress, nearly causing her to trip. Someone nearby quickly intervened, preventing a fall.

The exchange referenced a previous comedic skit from the Grammy Awards, where Klum and comedian Nikki Glaser humorously attempted to remove Boone's jacket as part of a staged segment before his performance.

Later that night, in the AMAs, Boone's performance also included Klum and Glaser. This time, he didn't allow the women to rip off his clothes.

Both Klum and Boone continued with their AMAs appearances afterward without further incident.
