Mexican Beauty Influencer Killed During TikTok Live — Details
Tragedy struck the neighborhood of Real del Carmen yesterday afternoon when 23-year-old beauty influencer Valeria Marquez was shot and killed in her salon.
The incident occurred in the Mexican municipality of Zapopan, Jalisco, on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, around 6:30 p.m. Chilling videos of Marquez—captured moments before and after the shooting—have since been circulating online.
The footage shows the influencer interacting with fans during a TikTok livestream, holding a pink pig plushie. She then looks out the window, and an individual off-camera opens fire into her salon, Blossom The Beauty Lounge, striking her in the chest and head.
Preliminary reports suggest a man riding a motorcycle—allegedly disguised as a delivery driver—entered the salon and confirmed Marquez's identity before shooting her and fleeing the scene.
First responders and law enforcement arrived shortly after a 911 call and attempted life-saving measures on Marquez. Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into her death is ongoing.
Marquez had amassed a substantial following across her social media platforms for her beauty content. In addition to running her salon, the young businesswoman was also a model.
Although her family has yet to release an official statement regarding her passing, tributes continue to pour in from fans expressing shock and grief over her death.
