Prince Harry recently sat down with BBC News in California following his court case loss in his home country. He shared how the court's ruling affected him.

"I'm devastated - not so much as devastated with the loss that I am about the people behind the decision, feeling as though this is okay. Is it a win for them?" he asked.

The changes to his security occurred in 2020 when he and his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, stepped away from their royal responsibilities and moved to the United States.

The prince has previously expressed that concerns over his family's safety prevented him from returning to the U.K. with his family. In his legal case, he argued that the threats that loomed in light of his security being reduced were not carefully considered at the time the decision was made.

Unfortunately, despite his "powerful and moving" arguments, the judges ruled there was not sufficient reason or basis to overturn or reconsider the decision as it had not been made unlawfully.

In his interview, Prince Harry said he and his father, His Highness King Charles III, were not on speaking terms due to the case. He added that he no longer wanted to fight, especially given his father's health, as he didn't know how much time he had.

The King was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer in February 2024 and has been undergoing treatment. Still, he hoped to mend things, as he said, "I would love reconciliation with my family. There's no point continuing to fight any more, life is precious."
