Timothée Chalamet found himself answering an unusually personal question while promoting his upcoming film "Marty Supreme" in London. The Oscar-nominated actor appeared at a Q&A event held at Prince Charles Cinema in Leicester Square on Sunday, February 1, 2026. The discussion was moderated by "Love Actually" writer and director Richard Curtis.

During the conversation, Curtis steered away from film-related topics and asked Chalamet directly about his personal life. The moment drew laughter from the audience and quickly became one of the most talked-about exchanges of the night.

Curtis first asked, “Do you have a girlfriend?” Chalamet answered simply and without hesitation. “Yes,” he said.

A Marriage Question Catches Chalamet Off Guard

Curtis then followed up with a more pointed question. “Do you think you’ll ever get married?” he asked.

Chalamet appeared momentarily surprised by the question. “Wow,” he replied. “That’s so personal.” His response drew a loud reaction from the crowd, who seemed to enjoy seeing the actor caught off guard.

Curtis, still pushing for an answer, jokingly added, “Can we come?” Chalamet laughed and shook his head before replying, “You’re going to get me in trouble, man.” After a brief pause, he added, “Yes, yes.”

The exchange was lighthearted, but it marked one of the rare moments in which Chalamet publicly addressed the idea of marriage while acknowledging his relationship status.

A More Public Year for Chalamet and Jenner

Chalamet has been romantically linked to Kylie Jenner since 2023, though the pair have largely kept their relationship private. For much of the past three years, they avoided discussing one another publicly and made limited joint appearances.

That approach has shifted in 2026. Chalamet has openly acknowledged Jenner during recent award season speeches, a notable change from his previously guarded stance. The public mentions fueled renewed interest in the couple’s future and suggested a deeper level of commitment.

Fans and media observers have noted that the actor appears more comfortable addressing his personal life, even if only briefly and with humor.

Reports Suggest a Serious Relationship

According to a source who spoke with Us Weekly, Chalamet and Jenner are serious about their relationship after three years together. The source said the couple has discussed the possibility of getting engaged, though no formal plans have been confirmed.

“Kylie definitely runs the show, and Timothée loves it,” the source said. “It is a great balance between both of their personalities, and it works.”

While neither Chalamet nor Jenner has publicly commented on engagement rumors, the report aligns with the actor’s recent openness and relaxed demeanor when discussing marriage.

Balancing Fame and Privacy

Both Chalamet and Jenner are accustomed to intense public scrutiny. Chalamet has built a reputation as one of his generation’s most respected actors, while Jenner remains one of the most visible figures in entertainment and business.

Their relationship has drawn attention from fans of both worlds, yet they have managed to keep many details private. Chalamet’s remarks in London did not reveal specific plans, but they offered insight into his willingness to consider marriage in the future.

Chalamet continues to focus on his acting career, with "Marty Supreme" generating early buzz following its promotional tour. At the same time, his comments suggest a growing comfort with sharing limited aspects of his personal life.

While the actor stopped short of revealing concrete plans, his answers made one thing clear. Marriage is not off the table, and his relationship with Jenner appears stronger and more public than ever.
