John Stamos Calls Lori Loughlin’s Estranged Husband a ‘Narcissist’
The "Full House" alum, who has been friends with the actress for decades, opened up about supporting her amid her separation from her husband, declaring that he plans to never speak to him again.
John Stamos is keeping his distance from Lori Loughlin's estranged husband, Mossimo Giannulli. The actor shared his thoughts on the designer during his appearance on the "Good Guys" podcast, in an episode published Monday, October 20.

Stamos reflected on his friendship with Loughlin, who played Aunt Becky in "Full House" opposite him as her onscreen love interest, Uncle Jesse. After 40 years of friendship, Stamos described her as "a saint."
"I'm just heartbroken for her right now," he said, referring to her separation from Giannulli. "I've really tried to be there for her during this time." Stamos went on to speak about the college admissions scandal involving Loughlin and Giannulli.

In 2020, the former couple pleaded guilty to paying $500,000 to get their daughters — Olivia Jade, 26, and Isabella, 27 — admitted into the University of Southern California as fake recruits. Loughlin was sentenced to two months, while Giannulli was sentenced to five.
Stamos said he didn't want to debate whether Loughlin "had much to do with it or not," adding, "I know she didn't." After she served her sentence, Stamos checked on her and asked about her experience in prison.

"And in typical Lori fashion, I said, 'How was it?' She goes, 'You know, I met a lot of nice ladies in there. We have a book club. That's her.' You know, she didn't deserve to be dragged through that," he recalled. "I know for a fact it was all him."
As he continued, Stamos recounted a conversation he had with Loughlin where he noted that everything negative in her life had been connected to Giannulli. "Whatever he did to her, it busted her up to the core. She put up with a lot over the years of this guy," he said.

He added that he didn't want to delve too deeply into her relationship with the designer, but he was aware of everything that was going on, and was by her side through it all. As for his own relationship with Giannulli, Stamos declared, "I will never talk to him again."
"He's a terrible narcissist, and I don't think you ever get out of that unless you're able to," he said. Although he admitted he knew a little about Giannulli's history, he still wondered — with a wife and children and life partner like Loughlin — "How do you bust that up?"
"I pray for this guy," Stamos concluded. "I pray that he gets a hold of whatever hole that he's trying to fill, however he's trying to fill it. I pray that he realizes that what he had was everything that anyone could ever hope for and that he gets some help. I think this guy needs help."
Loughlin and Giannulli announced their separation earlier this month after nearly 28 years of marriage. A rep for Loughlin told People, "They are living apart and taking a break from their marriage. There are no legal proceedings at this time."
