Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's Court Filings Reveal Monthly Income, $600,000 Sobriety Clause
Court documents from Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's divorce offer a rare glimpse into the couple's finances and marriage, including an unusual clause tied to sobriety and both stars' reported monthly income.
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's high-profile split continues to unfold in court documents filed in Nashville, Tennessee, where the couple primarily raised their two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
The filings shed light not only on custody arrangements and financial matters but also on a previously reported clause from the pair's prenuptial agreement.
According to reports, the agreement, signed before their June 2006 wedding, included what has been dubbed the "cocaine clause." The provision allegedly entitled Urban, who has spoken publicly about his past battles with addiction, to $600,000 for each year he remained sober during their marriage. Over nearly two decades together, that figure would surpass $11 million.
Financial records submitted in the case also offered a glimpse into the couple's earnings. A Child Support Worksheet prepared by Kidman's attorney listed both the Oscar-winning actress and the country star as making $100,000 per month, according to documents obtained by E! News.
Despite the disclosure of their income, the filings confirm that neither will be paying spousal support. The paperwork states that "any amount and/or form of alimony or spousal support to the other" is off the table. Additionally, no child support payments will be exchanged, with the total obligation for both parents set at $0.
When it comes to custody, Kidman has asked to serve as the "primary residential parent." Under the Parenting Plan, which both signed weeks ago, Sunday and Faith will spend 306 days of the year with Kidman, while Urban will have custody for 59 days.
While Kidman, 58, has been described as making efforts to salvage the marriage, it was reported that it was Urban, 57, who ultimately chose to end the relationship. The couple had reportedly been living separately since early summer.
Kidman and Urban's separation marks the end of 19 years of marriage, and a fresh start for both parties.
