Keith Urban Abruptly Ended an Interview Over a Question About Wife Nicole Kidman
The country star appeared to abruptly exit the virtual chat during a radio interview earlier this year. Around this time, he had reportedly already separated from his wife.
Keith Urban appeared via Zoom on the Australian radio show, "Hayley and Max in the Morning" on Mix 102.3, on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. The interview took place ahead of the Australian leg of his High and Alive World Tour and was initially off to a good start.

However, things took an unexpected turn when hosts Hayley Pearson and Max Burford launched the show's "Wall of Truth" segment. The pair had asked Urban to participate in the challenge, to which the singer agreed.
Burford posed the first question, asking Urban how he felt about Kidman having intimate scenes in her films and shows with younger men like Zac Efron. Urban's team wasted no time and immediately disconnected the call live on air.

The hosts were stunned by the sudden move. "I think his team hung up on us because they didn't want us to ask that question," a staff member said. Burford shared that they hadn't been warned ahead of time to avoid asking personal questions.
Pearson also admitted she had been worried about this exact scenario, adding, "He doesn't like talking about his wife … because it's private." The interview has resurfaced in light of Urban's separation from his wife, Nicole Kidman. The news first broke on Monday, September 29.
